Homework
We encourage all children in Year 5 to develop positive and consistent homework routines. Regular practice at home helps to reinforce learning and build confidence.
Reading: Children are encouraged to read at least 3 times a week. This can include reading independently, with an adult, or sharing a book together.
Spelling & Topic: Weekly spelling and topic homework will be set and should be completed and returned by Thursday.
Arithmetic: Arithmetic practice will be set from Tuesday to Friday, giving children regular opportunities to develop their fluency and accuracy with number. Regular timetables practice is also highly encouraged.
Reasoning: Reasoning homework will run from Friday to Tuesday, allowing children to practice applying their mathematical knowledge to problem-solving activities.
Thank you for supporting your child with their homework and encouraging them to take pride in their learning.
